Loutopia
A downloadable game for Windows
Pitch
An action-adventure game in which you find yourself stranded on an island. While exploring the island and helping the locals you find monster buddies that help you with combat and exploration.
Context
This game was developed as part of a course at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
The focus of this project was to create a vertical slice and pitch it to a publisher. For this reason, some of the assets are not yet final. The prototype has a beautiful corner at the beginning of the level where all the art is "final".

Known Bugs

Dash Glitch
There is a chance that, when dashing into objects or enemies, you will be teleported some distance (larger than intended). If this teleports you out of the map and you are not respawned, you have to restart the game.
Ability 2: Push Close to Obstacles
If the push ability is used to close to walls, the buddy can get stuck in the wall. If that happens just do the ability again and the buddy will teleport out of the wall.
Slopes
While not directly a bug, using abilities on slopes is not optimally implemented. Indicators and visual effects can sometimes clip into the ground.
Crystals in Buddy Room
The decorative crystals in the buddy room do not have any collision, so the player can just walk through them.

Install instructions
1) Download:
Click "Download" to get the ZIP file.
2) Extract:
Unzip the downloaded file.
3) Run:
Open the extracted folder.
Double-click "Loutopia.exe"
4) Enjoy playing Loutopia!
